Well, she continues to give to charity, it seems (for those of you who missed it way back when, that's Ed's salary), even if only to make Ed miserable.
Now, now, that's a rather antiquated male notion. It's like the old one about 'no' meaning 'yes.' Well sometimes no really means no, (it sure does when I ask girls out.) And sometimes, more than you might think, just because a woman looks sexy to you doesn't mean that she's 'looking for it.' If Rita is indeed looking for it, it's only with rich, powerful guys, not her underlings. John will have to weigh in on this, but as far as I can see, Rita has no desire for Jay, Ed, or any guy who works under her to be 'under' her. I draw her like people in her stratum whom I've observed in similar workplaces. The old Rita was kind of Miss Gulch like, which was funny in its way, but I wanted to go with what I knew. There's the danger that she's been promoted because some creepy male higher ups thought they were going to get some sugar. And we've all seen those guys too. They're rich and powerful and can fire you in a heartbeat if you call their bluff, but they're pathetic in their way.
Sex with the lady boss? YAY! Her clothes look like underwear and she has a sexy way of posing -- let's have her be a "bi" -- that way the ladies get a shot at her as well -- then all of her employees can have her up on sexual discrimination charges, plus abusive behavior, and she'll wonder where her job went!
It's pretty obvious from the way she's drawn that this female boss wants to have sex, and lots of it. So why not line up her employees and accept volunteers to bed her on alternating days until she's relaxed enough to get off everyone's back and onto her own, at the drop of a pantsuit?
