I can't help but notice that Abuzzi is holding the business end of a bazooka up to his face. Moron.

All's well that ends well in the ink well.

The good news here is that there seems to be no more mention or depiction of the hideous devil statue and the strip did NOT devolve into mumbo-jumbo re the statue! That's about IT for good news! Not only is Tarzan encouraging Abuzzi to GLOAT over the genoide (or LIQUIDATION) of the Warungs but is taking pride in becoming the possible future son's godfather! UGH! I hope the very first words out of the kid's mouth are 'MOM, what were you THINKING in chosing him to be my father?!'. Leola ALSO can't have a very high ethical standard if she cavorts with a mass murderer and is oblivous to the slaughter of innocent men, women and children. And, Tarzan's sanctimoniously sanctioning ALL this without even attempting one word of caution or reproach to Abuzzi is downright stomach churning! Unfortunately, in war, innocents DO needlessly die or are otherwise damaged- which is one reason why war sucks . And, yes there were INDEED innocents who were slaughtered there (and my guess is that the bombs were hot enough to incinerate the remains)- even if one refuses to believe that women and baby members of the Warung tribe could BE innsocent, let's not forget that there were students in that dubious school from many OTHER tribes that, like Umele (and Leola) may themselves have wanted OUT! So, now the chiefs (including Umele's father) will have cause to want vengence against the Bongos and Tupis for having killed off their offspring [and, yes, I know Umele was killed at the Warung chief's command, but since immediately afterwards the WHOLE place got destroyed, why would he NOT think that his son died in the LIQUIDATION ?]. Oh, and there were Warung agents sniffing around outside the territory so NOW they'll be able to play victim and get more folks on their side. And, regardless of how evil the Warung oligarchy was (and it was definitely WAS), that doesn't erase how downrightly COWARDLY it was for the Bongo and Tupis to attack them without even declaring hostilities (and the attack itself, gloating over the deaths was VERY evil). Oh, and are the Bongo Captive Kids still stuck at the Tupi village?

Has anyone notice that there are no bodies laying in all this destruction? This may not be over yet!

Oh yeah, I can see it now--"Don Vito Tarzan of the Apes"! By that time Abuzzi will have waged gang war on all neighboring tribes, wiping them out, and establishing himself as a major player in a weapons trading, ivory poaching, and drug smuggling empire! It may be the '60's but that kind of criminal crap has been around for centuries!
