Enter Springtime
Someone tapped at my door today
Dressed in a daffodil gown.
Her shoes were vibrant, emerald green,
The sun's golden glow was her crown.
She held a lovely, lilac bouquet
Wrapped in a blue-sapphire sky,
Tied with a glistening, dew-droppeed bow
And the wind's soft, whispering sigh.
I opened my door to let her in,
Afraid she would slip away;
And that's when the balmy breezes procaimed,
"Springtime is here today!"

Ottodesu - An expanded version of why 9CL comments have been shut down, apparently permanently, has just been posted by Mr. McEldowney himself on "Pibgorn". See http://www.gocomics.com/features/120?comments_page=4, third comment from the top.

I know this is the "Rose Is Rose" page, not the 9CL page, so I promise this will be my last post on the subject here. It's just that I know of no other way to reach Ottodesu, ChiehHsia, ClaudeTWC and others who fans of 9CL except by posting here, where I also see them.
Ottodesu - Re: 9CL. The ability to make, or even see, comments seems to come and go. I could see them for a while then when I refreshed, nada. As far as an explanation why this was done, The Old Wolf posted something on "Pibgorn". See http://www.gocomics.com/features/120?comments_page=3, about 15 comments down.
Ottodesu - I noticed about the comments and ratings 9CL just before coming here. I wonder if it's a technical problem or if comics.com is doing something like "Place nice or we'll take your toys away." If the latter, I personally find it odd that comments and ratings are disabled on 9CL but not on, say, Luann or to a lesser degree "Arlo & Janis". I'm kind of thinking maybe a technical problem, as _some_ comments are ratings are posted there, and comments and ratings seem to be disabled for previous dates as well.
ChiehHsia: good to see you and Claude here. Not quite as rancourous as 9CWL. Anyway, you pose a very interesting Fantasy Grudge Match! Clem can get quite nasty, and could well blind side Vicki. But how could you script the three characters into the same time-space continuum? And yes, you are a little stranger than I thought - but that is welcome.
[Hey, that reminds me of an old strip, early 1990s. Pasquale is in the back of the car, asking "are we there yet?" Rose answers, "I told you, Pasquale, the drive is as long as the Wizard of Oz movie." Pasquale thinks for a moment, then asks, "Is the movie nearly finished yet?"]
================================================== FUNNY. Apparently, Pat ran out of the funny stuff.
