Since Pixar is now owned by Disney, this might just work; it doesn't sound any worse than "Bambi" or "Old Yeller," and kids would enjoy this a lot more.

I don't see a happy ending for this story. Once petting zoo deer get a taste of human flesh, they are almost impossible to rehabilitate.
