Lifestudent, IMO you could read any 3 separate Mary Worth strips from the last 40 years and get the whole picture. In fact if they're only a few years apart they might be part of the same storyline. Or not. You can't tell....

@Spartan117 - PoorPig was saying that Pastis should CALL (not text) 911 himself. Even with a phone with a 911 button, you need one hand to hold the phone and one finger to push the button. Pastis wasn't doing anything that would have kept him from making the call. Of course, if Pastis had made the 911 call, the entire gag would have gone away. For me, that's a good enough reason for Pastis NOT to make the call...
