@Not really: Not necessarily; Pastis could be showing that Pig is far away from Rat and feeling a little sad. It's a normal thing in comics. What's "not really funny" is triple posting.

Difference in font and excess caption space means Pastis changed the fifth panel, i only know this because of the treasuries, wonder what pig really said?
