Thanks, Mr. Pastis. This came out the day my mother died. She was a star-gazer and has clipped many similarly themed strips. It was just what I needed.

Yia Yia is Greek name for Grandmother...My children lost their Yia Yia last week and the timing for this strip was perfect. Exactly what we all needed to see on Sunday after a week of funeral preparations. There is always a time and place for "cheesy". This was it for us!

Yia yia? Where did they get such a funny word? Where are the zebras? I Love the zebras.

magdala526@cox.net Really great. Sorry Pig didn't get to see it. Love Pig best of all. Thank you Pastis.

I lost my mom almost 19 years ago, and it is a comfort to think she is up there watching over me. I know that, if she were still here, she would be a Pearls fan, too! She was sweet and sentimental...like Pig.

Loved this Pearls! Sweet pig---I'm glad his grandmother is watching over him.

What would it mean if a burger appeared in the sky? (Or, yikes!--bacon. It does taste so darn good.)

Song, I know it well, used to do the Slop to it in the '60's....it came out in 1961. I would post lyrics but they would all run together. :) YA YA By Lee Dorsey

This strip reminded me of an old song I once heard; a recurring line was, "I'm sittin' in La-la, waiting for my ya-ya." Does anyone here know what song it was, and who sang it?
