Hans is criticizing a comic. You people are cursing at a person and telling him to get lost. As an illustrator myself, I'd much rather have someone criticize my work than tell me to go away and get lost. People are entitled to their opinion. Pastis is a professional, he can take it. He doesn't need a bunch of minions cursing out people who don't like the strip. Be nice.

I gave it 5/5, but I have to say that Hans72 has a point. Everyone is entitled to have opinion. Not sure if Rat would agree...
Hans if your just gonna rip on Pearls you might as well go read a book. So just go away if ur gonna rip on this strip because no one likes it when people rip on strips that r good. So pwned.
But the writing for today's wasn't good either. Just because it's good compared to Family Circus doesn't mean today's was good. Pearls used to be good... I dunno what happened.
Hans72, who says comics strips have to make you laugh out loud to get a high rating? Look at the ratings "Charlie Brown" gets on a daily basis. Wit, good writing, and great character dynamics are just a few of the things make for an enjoyable strip. Besides, people can find humor in the smallest things. For instance, knowing the rate at which rats multiply and the fact that Rat only wants two children is pretty humorous in itself....
WHY does today's strip have such a good rating? It wasn't funny! People, when you automatically click on 5 stars like I suspect a lot of you do, it doesn't help. This site could help Pastis know which of his strips are funny or not, but when you say they're funnier than what they really are... it doesn't help.
