DonJaime, Yes real Crocs do eat their young, but that does not show Larry as a Loser. Any man that loves his son, and does his best for him is no loser. I suspect that something happened with Stephan to bring about this tread.
So with htis showing Larry as a loving father then I say. If Larry the Croc is a Loser, then I hope I am just as bing a loser as he is.
Gotta say something else. I am adopted, and was so at about two years of age. I have no idea who my birth parents were, and frankly have no desire to find out. I was raised by two loving people who gave me a home, a future, and values to sustain me through life. My Mom has passed away and my Father has Alzheimers, so he has no idea who I am anymore, but I still believe, that somewhere in the deep recesses of his mind he still has the spark of memory. Dad, you will never read this, but, Thanks.
Larry, love your son, your wife, and remember this, never forget this. When it comes to hunting Zeebas, Hank Aaron didn't hit a home run every time, yet he is a hero to a lot of people.
Thanks for letting me speak my piece. Have a great life folks. And Parents, go Hug your kids. Kids, tell your folks you love them and thank them.
END TRANS
I'm 54 years old, my son is 18 and about to graduate high school. My daughter just turned 16 a couple weeks ago. I am so teary eyed reading this, thinking how I can never recapture the lost moments. Stephan, you just drew what Harry Chapin was trying to wanr all us parents about, Never waste a moment, never consider time spent with family wasted. Jr. doesn't care about his Dad's job, or killing Zeebas, he just knows that his Dad loves him. It takes only about seven minutes of heavy breathing and a little physical exertion and "Boom!" you're a father. But it takes work and effort to be a DADDY. Thanks Stephan, you made me think, and now, I'm gonna go hug my kids and tell them I love them.
If you haven't email Stephan yet, let him know how great this strip was today, and that this should be the first strip inducted into the "Pearls before Swine" Hall of Fame. So simple, yet so profound!
