Ottodesu, it helps to remain calm and not thrash around, it only attracts the shark who thinks you're wounded prey. Punching them in the nose or the eye has helped more than one swimmer get away, but Quill bopping Tiffany one in the snoot would be awful and way too extreme. I think if he pulls a "Chief Brody" and stays fully clothed and out of the water he'll be OK. Dahdahdahdahdahdahdahdah.....
curlyfries, nice analogy about how Quill should be careful. Being a good Aussie lad, he has clearly sensed that he is about to enter dangerous waters. When there is a shark about, you either keep out of the water, or stay in a group - preferably in the middle.
dexter, clyde always delights in taking these pompous and rather prissy stands ("harpies", cyde? Really? Who knew my grandma was on this site?) to prove he's for the "underdog" - forgetting, as Blackwolff pointed out, that people like Tiffany often aren't liked for good reasons. All his noble, misguided, and possibly kneejerky efforts are in vain because he forgets that rhinocerous-hided Tiffany doesn't care what any lesser being's opinion is - because she loves herself first and foremost. "Envy" isn't what's prompted any payback on Luann & Co.'s part - they don't "hate her because she's beautiful", they dislike her for her unbearable attitude and dishonest character. Now I expect a little flurry of posts accusing me of picking on poor Tiffany, a defenseless pretty young female. But if Tiffany were male and Quill were a new girl in town, Tiff's behavior could be seen as possessive, overbearing and borderline abusive - Dirk displayed the same charming characteristics towards Toni, just without the batted eyelashes. Let's hope Quill has a can of shark repellent and running shoes on, he'll need 'em both.

And before you start crying a river for Tiffany ClydeFrog,let's remember that she has a rather large mean streak in her and has/had no qualms about unleashing it on others for her own amusement or advantage. Remember the cell phone incident? And the fireman meals con she ran with TJ,just to name a couple. I believe that's what cost her her Miss Chamber of Commerce title,no? That was all her! And as for Quill,I think he's already got Tiff sussed out and is trying to break away. Luck to ya,mate!
