Ok, people; LIGHTEN UP! This is about a teenage view of the world, NOT REALITY! If Delta think Washington D.C. is the center of the universe, that's her decision. Just to note: has it occurred to anyone that MAYBE Greg Evans had her to say that to set up the Tiffany punchline?

And Washington DC, the center of the universe?!? Delta does know there are other countries out there aside from the U.S., right? Also, how does going there change anything for the everyday person? It takes months, sometimes years to pass laws that don't have a string rider bills (a.k.a. Politically Correct term for Bribe) attached to them) plus we don't have a say in what's on these bills... Remember, the US isn't a Democracy, it's a Republic. India has a true Democracy where the people vote on everything. Downside of course is that it really slows down bill passing I imagine.

Yeah... laws are made by a bunch of rich old people that will only pass laws that will make them richer or help them in some other way. If you're a Republican, the Democrats are evil and the cause of everything going wrong. If you're a Democrat, the Republicans are the cause of everything going wrong. If you're an independant or non-party affiliated, you feel like the hall moniter in an elementary school squabble watching both Rep.s and Dem.s fight over anything they can.

Charlie wrote: "you go to DC and you dont have to pay taxes." __________ Hah! Tell that to the fine folks who live and work in the District of Columbia. They pay income tax! Residents and tourists pay sales tax, just like in most states. __________ What they don't get for their tax dollars is voting representation in the House of Representatives OR the Senate. Because they are a special federal district rather than a state, or even a territory like Puerto Rico, Congress can micromanage their budget, often for political brownie points in a Member of Congress' home district. ________ Back in the 1990's, DC license plates read, "Taxation Withouout Representation." However, the G.W. Bush administration made them change the motto.

It's the center of the Universe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Delta, Girl, get a reality check! There is so much more to offer than Washington DC. The sad thing there really are people for whom The Gov't is their end-all/be-all. Sad Really

Evilorange ... of course more people vote for a TV competition, there are no age or any other limits or limit to number of votes each person can cast.
