Satchelfan1, I'll try The Spirit comic books one of these days... probably not my kinda thang, but won't know till I try 'em. Meanwhile, I'll go on wishing and hoping that one day ALL of Li'l Abner, 1934 to 1977, dailies and Sundays, will be available for all to see online. Jack

Thanks Merrytoymaker, I'm more of a The Spirit fan myself(wish they ran those here!) but find Lil Abner so refreshing to look at I always can't wait to see the new(to me)strips thanks for the info pages ! When I look at the modern artists it makes me miss the Golden age of comics when it was really something. Dip pens and paint brushes.

Hi STANCPA44, welcome. The issue of small text has been dealt with many times in past comments. So here's the deal: if you will run the cursor over the comic strip with your mouse, a magnifying glass will appear in the top right corner. Click it, and all your problems will be over. Well, this one anyhow.

I wish the lettering was larger, us seniors have serious trouble reading the captions.

Frank was one of several assistants in the Capp Studio, and gradually assumed more duties, as his talent became more obvious.
