I agree this isn't the place to discuss politics, but something needs to be cleared up. The military used to have government provided healthcare for those of us either in the military or retired and our families. A few years back they determined it cost too much to have the government be the insurer and privatized it, contracting with insurance companies. Our healthcare isn't free anymore, but we do receive better healthcare now.

Still, it's worth pointing out the obvious: no, you won't go to jail for not getting insurance!
