You keep trying to convince everyone that you're the enlightened superior one and all of us pathetic Facebook users are stupid ignorant idiots! 'Cause God knows your arguments to that effect have been so convincing thus far! resume

LOL, you just keep trying to convince us (without providing any links to anything you claim) that Facebook is evil and all of its users are stupid guinea pigs that are going to get their personal info stolen, Larry! You just keep claiming that you found me as "Tom" on Facebook! Yep, everyone will believe you, and I shouldn't even try to deny it, because YOU found me and you know everything! Never give up! Keep going, Larry! You, with your "world-wide group of friends" are doing just great! Your debating skillz are simply unmatched! LOLOLOLOL. Dude, if someone manages to hack into my Facebook account, they'll find a nickname and an e-mail account that contains only a "Welcome to Facebook" message and nothing else. If you're stupid enough put your life story on Facebook, then you have no one but yourself to blame. I, and millions, of others, are fortunately not that stupid, nor are they stupid enough to blanket-condemn Facebook just because some people are too ignorant to figure out how to use it safely. But hey, you keep trying to convince everyone that you're the enlightened superior one and all of us pathetic Facebook users are stupid ignorant idiots! 'Cause God knows your arguments to that effect have been so convincing thus far! Man, you're nuts, but you're hilarious. Just too much. Keep keepin' on, Larry, you're doin' great! Hahahaaa.

Haha! So let's see...to recap, so far your arguments consist of: (a) Facebook is only for stupid, ignorant idiots who don't mind getting their !$%*!$%*!$ stolen, (b) Facebook is evil because it uses ads that say you like a certain sponsor's product -- never mind that I already told you how to EASILY turn that off with a couple of clicks, (c) The FBI lists Facebook as one of the top sources of people getting information to commit identity theft -- never mind that you didn't provide any link to any such FBI list, and I can't find one anywhere on FBI's site or elsewhere, (d) Facebook will sell your personal information and there is NOTHING you can do about it -- yeah, if you're stupid enough to put sensitive personal information on Facebook! You do realize that you'd actually have to voluntarily provide such information, don't you?, (e) You found me on Facebook and my name is "Tom" -- LOL!! Yeah, Larry, if you found me, then please show me the link to this "Tom" -- no last name given -- Facebook page of mine, 'cause I'm really interested in what this "Tom" alter-ego of mine has been up to! LOLOLOL, too much, man, that's just too much, (f) Americans R Dumb -- whoa! I never expected that sort of comment from YOU! LOL! Never mind that 70 percent of Facebook users aren't Americans, that Facebook has 400 million users from around the world and that, incredibly, you're calling all those 400 million people fools (as opposed to your being soooo enlightened and superior, right?). Oh, and Google is yer friend: http://www.nickburcher.com/2009/03/facebook-usage-statistics-by-country.html So I guess you can feel all superior now since Canada has a lower percentage of Facebook users than the U.S. Yep! High fives all around! Way to go, Larry, you win! LOL. You're just too much, man. Lucky for you, anonymous forums like this exist, so you can hide behind a juvenile nickname like "Darkeforce" and post a bunch of ignorant nonsense to get attention. Funny schtick you have here, though. I hope for your sake that it IS just a schtick. Otherwise I guess I should be feeling sorry for you rather than laughing at your funny online persona. But, hey, way to go, Larry!

Darkeforce's real name is Jimmy Compton. He's on Facebook.

Tom, er, Klamath (sorry) :) -- DF doesn't use Facebook because he probably can't get anyone who knows who he really is to be his friend. He uses forums because anonymity is the only way he can get other people to interact with him. ---- Regarding my own use of Facebook, I have one rule for friends. I accept friends if I actually know them outside of the internet (school, work, church, family, travels, etc.). I also use the friend groups feature to create a special group of close friends that can see my most personal information. The acquaintances see the more generic information. Strangers see just enough information to allow old long-lost friends to find and identify me. There's little more there that you couldn't also find in the antiquated phonebook (remember those?), except for the photo. Basically, Facebook is a universal phonebook. Anyway, wasn't the internet supposed to bring us all together and promote world peace?
