To consider one political party to be totally grounded in reality and the other completely ungrounded is a bit of a fantasy in and of itself. Politics is a system designed to sustain its own party in the majority system, not to primarily seek the good for its constituents. Sorry if that sounds cynical, but I'm not about to say something like Dems = good, Reps = evil (or vice versa).
I thought Bucky was a conservative. Then why does Rob call him a Hippo Crit? If anyone is a hypocrite it's a bleeding heart tree hugger who disrespects opinions that differ from their own. The joke would have worked if Bucky had called Rob a Hippo Crit since Rob is a Democrat. Get it? Crit and Crat are almost spelled the same. Was the author trying to put down conservatives, but ended up putting down his own party? Satchel is quite funny. I bet that he is an independent because he can't make up his mind. I have to say that I am very amused with the first mentally challenged comic strip character. Satchel is proof that mixed breeding of different races/species/ages can be problematic but that it can also be quite hilarious.
