Enter Springtime
Someone tapped at my door today
Dressed in a daffodil gown.
Her shoes were vibrant, emerald green,
The sun's golden glow was her crown.
She held a lovely, lilac bouquet
Wrapped in a blue-sapphire sky,
Tied with a glistening, dew-dropped bow
And the wind's soft, whispering sigh.
I opened my door to let her in,
Afraid she would slip away;
And that's when the balmy breezes proclaimed,
"Springtime is here today!"
